Day 1: Arrival in Kigali, Rwanda
Your 25-Days East Africa Safaris adventure begins with your arrival in Kigali, the capital city of Rwanda. You will be met graciously by our representative and driven to your hotel. Once you have settled in, you will have the chance to enjoy the ambiance of Kigali in your own time. Depending on your time of arrival, you may either go to the Kigali Genocide Memorial or a city excursion.
Day 2: The Journey from Kigali to Volcanoes National Park
Following breakfast, take off on a picturesque drive to Volcanoes National Park, the sanctuary for the mountain gorillas which are endangered. The excursion will take you across the beautiful landscapes of Rwanda characterized by hilly terrain and cultivated fields of different crops. Rising early for breakfast you will take off to the park headquarters, where you will receive a short briefing before embarking on your gorilla trekking expedition. With the help of the guides, you will make your way through the thick forest in search for the members of the gorilla family. You will be allowed to sit and observe them in their own surroundings for an hour, once you locate them.
Day 4: Volcanoes National Park Lawn Kivu
Following the enticing and enthralling gorilla trekking expedition, Lake Kivu, one of Africa’s Great Lakes will be the next stop. The travel journey affords great view of the lake, its surroundings as well as the mountains. The lake which would be the main point of focus in the island shall arrive as the sun will set. Come to Jinja then proceed across the border to Kenya where you’ll visit the Lake Nakuru National Park; famous for the abundant flamingos and other bird species. This move will be after checking in at your lodge and an evening game drive will be taken in search of rhinos, lions among other animals.
Day 16: Lake Nakuru National Park Game Drive
Be conducive to the environment and spend the entire day inside the Lake Nakuru National Park driving around the park. Apart from its rich birdlife, the park features several wildlife species such as Rothschild giraffes, buffaloes, and zebras.
Day 17: From Lake Nakuru to the Masai Mara National Reserve
Your 25-Days East Africa Safaris includes the renowned Masai Mara National Reserve. The journey to Masai Mara is through the Great Rift valley which presents beautiful scenic view. After reaching the reserve, take pleasure in an evening game drive.
Day 18: Game Drive in Masai Mara
In our day schedule today, you will be on game drives in the Masai Mara all day long. This reserve is famous for its wildlife concentration with the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino) among them. Day 23 – Game Drive: Ngorongoro Crater
You will experience Narok today for a more challenging game drive that takes you at the bottom part of the Ngorongoro Crater for a full day. There is a huge wildlife density within the crater, and yes, it includes the Big Five. You will also get to see flamingos at the sodic lake in the center of the crater.
Day 24: Ngorongoro to Tarangire National Park
Then head to Tarangire National Park, where large herds of elephants and giant baobab trees can be seen. Following a break in your lodgings, an evening game drive will be arranged, looking for game including elephants and lions in the park.
Day 25: Arusha Departure
